The two directors and company secretary,
although only in their early 40s, have combined
financial services experience of approximately 60
years and have held senior technical and managerial
positions in large prestigious financial services
firms during their careers.
Due to the increased complexity of financial
services over recent years, it is becoming more
evident, and extremely important, that financial
needs and objectives are addressed by highly
qualified and experienced advisers.

Mark Ashton

With almost 25 years
experience to his name, Mark is a well known authority in
financial planning throughout the
area with a particular strength in
investment strategies and tax mitigation.
Moving from an engineering background,
Mark gained his initial taste for financial
planning as an Appointed Representative of a
large life insurance company. He widened his
skills and experience in the banking sector
then took up the role of Independent
Financial Adviser.
After a number of years in the banking
sector, Mark became an Independent Financial
Adviser. Mark subsequently moved to a
national IFA firm operating out of
accountancy practices where he progressed
from Senior Consultant to a Regional Manager
position.
After a period as Development Manager with a
financial services group, Mark decided to
establish his own company where his own
innovative ideas could be put into practice
for the benefit of many clients.
In addition to being the Managing Director
of Ashton Hoyle Ltd, Mark enjoys spending
time with his children, is a published
author and contributor and is a keen
motorcyclist. |

As an ex-engineer, Paul has an eye for
detail and enjoys the technical aspects of
financial planning with a particular focus
on pension issues.
Paul commenced his career within
financial services back in 1990 with a large
life insurance company where he ultimately
attained the role of Senior Specialist
Pension Consultant providing training and
development to over 600 advisers.
In 2000, Paul became an Independent
Financial Adviser for one of the main UK
banks, where he not only advised personal
and corporate bank customers but also became
a reference point on pension issues for
other advisers and professionals within the
banking group. By 2004, Paul joined a
national IFA firm providing detailed and
bespoke financial advice to large
accountancy clients.
In 2006, Paul joined Mark Ashton and Tracey
Holden in establishing a new company and new
direction Ashton Hoyle Ltd.
In addition to being a highly capable
adviser, Paul is a highly qualified pensions
specialist whose knowledge and skills enable
him to advise on the most complex cases.
Paul has three key passions in life:
pensions, golf and his family. |

Tracey has worked in the financial services
sector since leaving college.
After an initial ten years working with a large life
insurance company, Tracey joined the
independent sector to provide technical
administration and adviser support.
Tracey's extensive knowledge and experience
ensured that her ideas and opinions have
been constantly sought throughout her career
and her ability to provide structure,
support and a meticulous approach to
operational planning and implementation
ensures the efficient running of the
business.
In addition to her management skills,
Tracey is also a highly qualified financial
services professional.
Outside of keeping the Ashton Hoyle ship
steaming ahead, Tracey enjoys country walks, has two sons and an
active social life. |

A distinguished sixteen year career in the
armed forces, has given James a drive and
motivation to succeed that is second to
none. Since the mid 1990s, James has used
this drive to carve an enviable reputation
in the financial services industry.
This determination was demonstrated by
the accomplishment of after only nine months
in the industry, James qualified as an IFA
and started work at one of the largest high
street banks.
After progressing to a city centre
accountancy practice, developing his
corporate advice skills, he then joined a
national IFA based in the City, where he
quickly became the reference on help and
advice issues for his colleagues and peers.
His skills and experience were further
enhanced in his previous role before joining
Ashton Hoyle Ltd working for a niche IFA
becoming a focal point for Trusts and Estate
planning with regard to Investments and
Pension funds.
Away from work, James enjoys an active
sporting and social life. |

A Chartered and Certified Financial planner,
with over 20 years client advisory
experience in the
industry, Stephen has always had a strong
client focus and for the past 13 years, has
worked as an independent financial adviser.Prior to joining Ashton Hoyle Ltd, Stephen
worked for one of the world's top five accountancy
networks.
Stephen is a fellow of the Personal Finance Society
and one of the very
few independent financial advisers to have
successfully achieved Accredited Divorce
Specialist status for Resolution (Solicitors
Family Law Association).
Stephen deals with all aspects of personal
and corporate financial planning, including
high value investment portfolios, tax
efficient investment strategies, retirement
planning, matrimonial pension and investment
matters, corporate investment, group schemes
and employee benefits to name but a few.
In line with his strong client focus ethos,
Stephens goal is to deliver robust
financial planning solutions to meet client
needs and exceed expectations making Stephen
a great asset to the Ashton Hoyle team and
clients in the Lancashire area.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys spending
time with his children, mountain biking and
golf. |
